The Tahoe 24 hr Adventure Race is one of the few 24 hr Adventure Races in the California area, and what better place to host a race like this than in the beauty of the Sierra Mountains and Lake Tahoe. The towering peaks of the High Sierra, and the scenic valleys, make this area is one of the world's most famous sporting playgrounds. The region has an almost endless variety of spectacular mountain biking trails, adventurous hikes and, of course, waterborne activities on the “Big Blue” - Lake Tahoe - one of the largest, deepest and purest alpine lakes on earth.
The 24 hr race is an excellent course for those who have tried shorter races and would like to up the challenge, or for veteran racers looking to challenge their skills. Racers will spend 24 hrs navigating, trekking, running, paddling, and mountain biking. The race takes advantage of Tahoe’s famous mountain biking and hiking trail network. Racers explore areas of Tahoe, including both classic locations, and other parts of the region that very few ever experience.
